Animals'
Angels are a German based charity whose remit is to monitor the
transportation of farm animals and equines throughout the world.
They also check slaughter houses and train the police in EU laws.
In 2005 AA offered considerable financial support for a two year
period to help CDR 'get on its feet'. This included much needed
improvements to the shelter and money to keep the donkeys. Christa
Blanke, the founder is working tirelessly with her team to ensure
animals are more humanely treated prior to and at slaughter. |

Corfu
Animal Rescue Establishment focuses on helping the street dogs of
Corfu. Although a registered Greek charity in our own right CDR
became affiliated to CARE and the two charities work very closely
together. Carole Langton, the founder of CARE helps the donkey rescue
financially, whilst CDR takes on the fostering of dogs and puppies
for CARE. Visit their website to see the work they do on the island. |

Agni
Animal Welfare Fund is a charity also dedicated to helping the strays
of Corfu. Their primary objective is sterilising and treating the
stray cats around the island. Their work does include supporting
street dogs, but as the three rescues work together, AAWF is able
to focus its attention on the cats whilst CARE works with the street
dogs.
AAWF helps and supports CDR where possible by sterilising and caring
for the many barn cats, volunteering when time permits and providing
valuable computing support. |

Tierhilfe
Korfu, an organisation based in Germany that helps to find homes for
dogs. Uta Engelhardt the founder, does sterling and tireless work
on behalf of Corfu's dogs and also supplies medicines for the donkeys.
In 2005 they funded an entire transport of donkeys to new homes in
Germany, Holland and the UK. |
|
Ezelsocieteit,
a Dutch donkey rescue, took in nine donkeys from CDR in May 2006.
Since then they have supported CDR financially and sent medicines
and other necessary items to help the donkeys. Also they have encouraged
volunteers and students to come to Corfu and help with the day to
day work. Their support is invaluable. |

delivering goods. He also supports CDR by carrying goods for us completely
free of charge. He offers a door to door service and is very reliable.
